An English Bulldogs Training

An English bulldogs training should always be taken seriously, as these dogs should never be underestimated. Many people are under the impression that bullies are not as clever as they actually are because they give off a very thick and easy-going appearance. However, the reality is that these canines are actually quite intelligent and they learn quickly. Thus, you need to make sure you use the right techniques to ensure that you don’t bore your pet.

The first thing you need to understand about English Bulldogs training is that they are very clever animals that respond well to virtually any type of activity that involves him having to engage in a problem solving process. That said, as bright as he is, bulldogs tend to be rather lazy, so in order to stimulate his brain and interest him, you need to take teaching slow, as he will learn better in small short sessions verses a long drawn out lesson. Don’t train him longer than 15 minutes at a time or you will lose his attention.

The second thing you should keep in mind is that because he has a tendency to be lazy, he is not a very physically active canine. Of course, just because he does not feel inclined to be active, this does not mean you should not exercise him on a regular basis. Exercise is another important part of a training routine. This is not only important for his health and so he can expel energy, but it also gives him more focus when it comes to learning.

The third aspect you should consider is that bullies are known for being stubborn and having a dominance streak. You need to be very mindful of this for your English Bulldogs training because you should anticipate obstinate defiance. When he tries to resist listening to you, do not hit him or yell at him out of frustration. Instead, remain calm, patient and consistent. You must be strong and firm throughout this process to show your pet you are not the one who will back down. Eventually he will see who the real leader is.
